These lyrics are from the song “The Scientist” and I’m not sure what it is, but this song just has this feeling that most song do not have. It has emotions to it and it seems so real. This song just always has a way in my heart and it’s one of those songs that I never skip when I hear it.

Lyrics that touch my soul and fill me with a deep, quiet satisfaction come from the song, “We Never Change.”

I wanna live life and never be cruel
I wanna live life and be good to you
And I wanna fly and never come down
And live my life and have friends around

It reminds me of the most peaceful day I had with my best friend, sunbathing on the beach off the west coast of Italy. Sadly, she betrayed me and is no longer my friend. But I forgive her, and hope someday we can find peacfulness in our hearts again.

Six years ago, my momo (grandma) was diagnosed with lymphoma. She went into remission twice. She had to have so many surgeries including a bone marrow transplant this summer. This July, she passed away, and it really took a tole on my entire family. My Cousin and I were picking out songs for her funeral and I picked ‘Fix You’ because when she was isolated in the hospital it was on a mix that I made for her and she really liked it. She used to say “Don’t be sad when I go, because I’ll still be there for you.” I like “High up above or down below, when you’re to in love too let it go. But if you never try you’ll never know, just what you’re worth.” To me this means that I have to believe that she’s in heaven, and that if I do she’ll be there to watch over me.
