Picture this: You’ve just got home from work or just finished the last items on your to-do list for the day, and you suddenly realize you don’t have anything for dinner. Why not whip up a batch of easy-to-make chicken alfredo? Who wouldn’t say no to a bowl of pasta with delicious tasting creamy sauce and tossed with some healthy chicken meat? Easy Chicken Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. chicken breast (deboned)
- 4 tbsp. oil
- ¼ c. butter
- ½ c. Parmesan cheese (grated)
- ¾ c. heavy cream
- Salt and pepper
- 1 lb. fettuccine noodles
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a 10” frying pan or skillet.
- Cut the chicken breast into strips and season with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken strips on medium heat until the meat is cooked the way through.
- In a medium sauce pan, slowly melt the butter then add the heavy cream next and the cheese last.
- Cook the sauce over low heat, stirring constantly but do not let the mixture boil.
- Mix the chicken strips into the alfredo sauce and stir.
- For the fettuccine, cook the noodles in 3 quarts of boiling water. Drain the noodles once they are al dente and pour some of the alfredo sauce on top of cooked fettuccine noodles.
- Serve with either warm toasted bread or small dish of salad on the side.
