Words Of Encouragement For A Friend

Consoling Friend

Everybody experiences the blues. Everybody feels sad and down. Being happy always is almost next to impossible because well, fact is; we don’t live in an ideal world.

You have experienced how it is to feel depressed, sad, and demotivated and all those negative feelings. During those times, having someone to lean on can greatly change the situation and how you are feeling. Someone who doesn’t necessarily need to agree or disagree with you and your opinions counts too as long as a listening ear without judgment can really be a big help too.

When the situation gets tough though, someone to push you and boost you is something that you will definitely appreciate. Someone to remind you of the love and support surrounding you and that it will get better soon. Random acts of encouragement that usually becomes a life line.

Words Of Encouragement For A Friend

One way or another, you’ve become the recipient of these words of encouragement but when was the last time you became a reflection of hope and encouragement? When was the last time you encouraged someone?

Giving words of encouragement for a friend is a simple way to show your love and care for your them.Encouraging someone doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be in 100% agreement with the opinions and feelings of your friend. If a friend feels anger towards someone, encouragement is not in the form of you being angry towards that same person too. No, that’s not encouragement but rather you’re just feeding fuel to something unconstructive.

Listening and saying something uplifting is one good way of encouraging people. For some, your mere presence is enough encouragement too. Your method of encouragement would also have to depend on the situation that your friend is facing and currently going through. But aside from this, how else can you encourage someone?

Showing that you are genuinely interested is one simple means of encouragement. Ask them to talk about the situation. Ask questions and you need not to agree with them. Just get them to talk and sooner or later, this will lead to a positive course of action. During this process of them opening up, take this opportunity to let them acknowledge what’s really important to them. You also need to acknowledge them by saying “Good job or well done.” Going through something bad is never easy so them being able to hold it together and saying this magical words can make all the difference between “keep going” and “give up.”

There are more unique ways to encourage someone, just make sure to be genuine about it so that when the time comes that you will be the one in need of encouragement, you can also count on a lot of people to be there for you.
